Restaurant Review of The District Eatery Tap & Barrel and a single visit to this eatery in Sanford Florida was all it took to make me a fan. Pleasing from the moment you arrive. I met my friend Courtney and we immediately said hit the Bar. A nicely dressed gentlemen asked us, “What are you having and do you need menus”?
With a coy smile and a swift yes to both we were off to our foodie expedition. This place… District Eatery Tap & Barrel
I saw Balvenie on the shelf so go where the eyes go so, they say. Our bartender began to tell us the specials and reminded us that there Cioppino was back on the menu. All the items sounded delicious we opted to start with a spicy Lobster Dip and Mussels nice pairing, as we hit the dip and it was a hit served with fried wontons. Then the mussels arrived, and I went into a swoon and immediately asked if they had Absinthe, he promptly reached and tugged a bottle out from Behind the Front Shelf and a glint in our eyes actually happened, or did it? So, it was the perfect pairing with the mussels for something to sip.
Menu

As we ordered our main courses. The Filet Mignon and Bourbon Bone in Pork Chops. It was well a surf & turf after all as we chowed down my dining partners Filet was perfectly cooked and well it was FLAVORFUL…!!!
My pork chop was huge, and it packed a sort of noise I made like xangy. for its flavor. Moist, with a delicious bark in every bite and the bone, well I couldn’t wait to grab it like a rib a gnash on all that flavor. Great job Chef Chris Mullen and the team in your kitchen.
As for the staff hats off to a job well done teamwork was everywhere.
Definetly worth return trips.
