Daytona Beach – June 4, 2018…Jim Belushi brings his show, Jim Belushi & The Board of Comedy, to The Peabody Friday, January 25, 2019 for a 7:30 p.m. show. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.

With more than thirty years of experience and an alumnus of “Saturday Night Live” and Chicago’s famed Second City, JIM BELUSHI is now bringing to the stage an improvised comedy sketch show featuring members of the Board of Comedy.

Belushi starred on the ABC hit comedy “According to Jim,” on which he also served as executive producer, music composer and director. After wrapping 182 episodes for its eighth and final season, the family favorite series also hit a milestone when it launched into off-net syndication in 2007. A favorite of film, television and stage audiences, Belushi is one of the great leading character actors equally at home in drama and comedy, and a gifted performer who can also hold a room as front man of a rhythm and blues band. Accompanying Belushi are Megan Grano, Larry Joe Campbell, Trey Stone and Joshua Funk, all of whom are classically trained professional improvisers who tour regularly nationwide.

“This group of actors brings me right back to how I started out in comedy, stated Jim Belushi. Maybe that’s why we have so much fun doing it.”

JIM BELUSHI AND THE BOARD OF COMEDY

“We are not stand-up comedians. Our show is not a passive, sit-back-and-watch experience. Most of the fun we have on stage comes from our inclusion of the audience – we get suggestions from them to begin each scene we perform, and in certain instances, bring them on-stage with us to add to our performance. It’s less a ‘show’ and more a party. At least it feels like one to me.” – Jim Belushi

MEGAN GRANO

Megan Grano has appeared on TV in Weeds, Parks and Recreation, Hot in Cleveland, Conan, The Great State of Georgia, and American Dad. Film roles include Bridesmaids and This is 40. She is a 2007 alum of The Second City Chicago. Megan is also an iO Theater alum, where she has performed since 1999. She is beyond grateful to be a part of the Board of Comedy.

LARRY JOE CAMPBELL

Larry Joe Campbell is excited to be onstage with this super talented cast! And he is ecstatic to be back with Jim again having worked together for 8 seasons on According to Jim. Since then, Larry has appeared in the movies Hall Pass and Killers and has had recurring roles on Weeds, Rules of Engagement, and Lifetime’s The Protector. Larry Joe was recently seen in R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon and in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim. Larry Joe lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Peggy, and their five children. Larry would like you to know that he loves you. (Yes, you. The one who’s reading this.)

JOSHUA FUNK

Joshua Funk is a multiple award-winning director and alum from The Second City in Chicago. His television and film credits include Key & Peele, Reno 911, Wild n’ Out, and Steven Soderbergh’s The Informant. When he is not acting, Joshua composes and produces the original music for Comedy Central’s hit show Key & Peele. He is also the artistic director for The Second City Hollywood and the director of Jim Belushi and the Board of Comedy.
