Behind Daytona has learned through its sources that it may be operating without a Food Managers Safety Certificate.
It has also has been reported
Owner "Rienk Vanderzee"
has been abusive to employees.
He also may be breaking Florida Alcohol Laws by taking home Bottles to avoid resale taxes
We learned the original purported manager was forced out of the Restaurant this week with threats.
We also learned the Restaurant was shut down due to a brawl.
We also have a report of promised jobs and then with no follow through causing some individuals to become unemployed. They have also seemingly hired individuals who have been caught stealing Credit Card Tips and fired at other area eateries.
While the location of this Restaurant continues to go through change after change with no success maybe the
City of Daytona Beach - Code Enforcement Division and
Florida Department of Business and
Professional Regulation can look into these issues.

With the sun setting Behind Daytona
we learned through our sources that the
Silver Beach Bridge,
now under construction since and closed since June 16, 2016 may be ready as soon as Feb 2020.
The arches now readily
visible have been completed.
Construction continues a a steady pace.
Originally slated with a 31/2 year time table
that now seems almost possible.

Mäi Tatro and her Band Moonlight Drive-In
headlined at Main Street Station this week for the Venerable and famous $1.00 Beer Bike Night.
Many Musicians and Bands have taken the
stage here, not many of them have made this kind of impression. The crowd was stunned.
Song after song in 3 sets they just slayed the Biker crowd.
Mai Tatro's stage presence is overwhelming as she playfully flirts with the crowd flipping her hair and using her eyes to draw them into to the music.
Gregory Davidson with his guitar is rock steady alongside the Bass and Drums of Greyson Belcher and Shane Hager.
The Bands Alternative style of Rock reflects a cross over, a little Hippie, a Little Punk, a Tad Hipster and they know how to pay homage to those who came before.
They are currently working on an Record to be released sometime this year.
While I followed Mai from the time she was 14 playing gigs solo in restaurants free, she has now grown up Rock Star style and she works hard at it still.
Mai is now booked around the area and she plays at The Shores Resort and Spa and at Off The Hook at Inlet Harbor.
The whole band will be performing at Main Street Station multiple nights.

Performance sometimes means persitence, and
Food and Beverage Director Michael Bartscher
is just that persistent at excellence. It is one of the reasons the Hotel remains the Champion of Hotels in our area.
This years wine series at the Shores Resort and Spa was nothing short of spectacular.
The Champagne Reception this past Wednesday was a great way to finish off the culinary journey we embarked upon here in 2018
The night was fun and whimsical, the room was wide open and warmly decorated for the Holidays.
The flowing Champagne was from the renowned Perrier-Jouët in existance now since 1811 and known for being the choice of many celebrities over centuries.
Having tasted the varietals offered it was obvious what was in the Flutes was greatness but our pick of the evening was the Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosè a fantastic blend of flavor with Red Rose and Orange Honey Citrus nose, a crisp finish that just ended wrapped around your tongue like cool air.
Then there were the plates of deliciousness and with the way a child looks at a gift under the tree I ate. Once again Chef Ransom danced with flavors and expertly paired them.
Venison and Huckleberry and a unique play on Melon and Prosciutto were on the menu.
Chef Ransom uses compressed Melon, a technique that concentrates the flavors then the addition of a crispy Prosciutto and the peppery Arugala.
As I exited I was reminded by the stellar Acoustics of Memory Lane of the days when I was a cook.
Yes I was a cook I reminded myself I was,
and with that thought I became acutely aware of the teamwork it takes to achieve the greatness the Staff at this Hotel achieves.
