Lore would have it. The Bounty at Flagler Tavern is the place Al Capone used during Prohibition to store and ship Rum. The truth is that this Gastronomic Gem is one of the nicest places to dine eat drink and be entertained.
This Extraordinary Speak Easy is on Flagler Ave in New Smyrna Beach. Unless you know how to say the secret word…. just kidding all you need to do is ask how to get upstairs. You go through the hidden door through the Anne Rice like Vampiric Hall until you reach the small room with the incredibly eclectic ambience.

While we have visited on a few occasions our latest visit was certainly our best to date. A huge shout out to our host Kit as we were made to feel extremely comfortable.
With a menu made to please just about anyone and mixology at its finest I couldn’t help but write this review.
Our cocktails the were thirst quenching and we sampled a Lavender Sugar Rimmed Drink and a Smokey Blackberry Tequila Drink. It was hard to drink one, so we had two.

They also featured Caymus we have mentioned this before where there is Caymus there is a smile on me.
Each item that either adorns the walls or the ceiling has some personal history to it. I remember a few years back the owner telling me about the canoe that is upside down hanging from the ceiling. When visiting ask your server they will tell you lots of little interesting fact.
You can stroll onto the balcony for a bit of live acoustic music. On this evening we ordered some fresh raw oysters and fries to start. When beachside dine like beach-bum and eat like a king as we had a Caribbean Lobster Tail, NY Strip and a Spicy Tuscan style Shrimp Pasta. As a side note I ordered the Cole Slaw for me that’s sometimes the test and it was cold crisp and had the snap I like.

No surprise, everything was cooked perfectly. The pasta was Al Dente the Steak Mid Rare and while the steak didn’t need it. I’m afraid to say that I’m addicted to A1 Sauce. I asked for it and Kit was more than happy to bring it to me immediately a testament to the great service.
