Not condemned, 601 Main Street Daytona Beach is Now “Not” Diesel Bar & Grill but is certainly not condemned.

601 Main Street Daytona Beach

Things happen quickly in slow motion here in Daytona Beach. On a quick drive today into Beachside we saw some very positive things for the City whose name has all but been destroyed over the last 3 Terms Mayor Henry has presided. So, it goes to say, “What have you done for me lately?”

601 Main Street Daytona Beach

I have been one of his biggest critics on many community issues, one of the biggest issues Daytona’s economy and its growth. I feel it is finally at a point where our hashtag #daytonarising is viable. Now almost everywhere you look, there is construction or reconstruction. On this account and by every measurement I can find this has nothing to do with him but has to do with undervalued property a veritable investors paradise. Good job mayor you ran the city into the ground and now finally the stock price went low enough for the growth to begin just in time. After 3 terms his political career may be at a critical juncture.

Just recently the building at 601 Main Street has been undergoing some changes. Unfortunately, a deal fell through for the people hoping to open Diesels Bar & Grill There. However, on our drive we stopped to ask someone at the site if work would continue, turns out he’s the new owner and while we won’t leak the name just quite yet. We can say it will not just be a bar or restaurant.

Daytona Rising

We are facing some issues with traffic smart growth plans are needed. Future thinkers are needed but as I see it, Daytona Beach is Rising albeit quickly in slow motion.

From Tanger Outlets to the revamping of an old gas station on EISB to a new event and restaurant venue with a car wash. Yes, a car wash called Beaches Daytona. Stay tuned for an early tour.

The revitalization of Beach Street looks fantastic, and we see the progress. The new bridge and walking paths course around the river. To quote a passerby “It is a beautiful place to walk”.

New themed venues like Double Barrel Grill which is at a gun range features live music on the weekends with bands like 5 Time Shag best known for their hit song Hungry Giant. Main Street for a minute seemed reborn but that damn virus hit and guess what Daytona Beach powered on.
